|Upcoming VoIP Updates in June – Invercargill, Queenstown & Hamilton
Soft Solutions Account Managers and VoIP team members are getting out and around the country in June to update our Partners on our key VoIP brands. As you know we distribute world leading windows/linux based PBX systems, as well as a host of IP Telephony products to complete the package, we also now have CounterPath the world’s largest provider of comprehensive UC softphones for all sizes of businesses within our portfolio. We are hosting lunch events in Invercargill on Wednesday 20th June and Queenstown Thursday 21st June and then an afternoon event in Hamilton on Friday 22nd June – all events will also cover off our StorageCraft brand and give an opportunity for networking. VoIP Update – Whangarei June Re-cap
Last week our team was in Whangarei delivering a VoIP update to partners over breakfast – we had a 100% attendance at the event and our partners left the event reignited for VoIP opportunities. Thanks to all those in attendance.
3CX 15.5 – Service Pack 5 BETA
3CX has announced a BETA Service Pack 5 for their version 15.5 software – please note this is a BETA service pack and should not be installed or used for production use but use on a test system. The key message from 3CX is around giving greater control to administrators. Key features covered in Service Pack 5 are amongst others the ability to replace license key which is a big time saver and allows customers to upgrade from a trial to a commercially licensed version by replacing the license key; a new trunk/DID report to allow you to quickly see the number of inbound calls to a trunk and to DIDs associated with it; the ability to generate a report on multiple queues and merge the data to a single report; call recording features have been greatly improved; improved server-side CRM integration; there are many enhancements and you can read the vast list on the 3CX blog here.
WP800 Portable WiFi Phone – Coming Soon from Grandstream
In environments where roaming free while making and receiving calls is a necessity, the WP800 is going to be the go-to choice. Grandstream GXV3275 is Being Replaced
This month, Grandstream’s flash-looking IP phone with the 7-inch touch screen is being replaced, so we have halved the price on the remaining stock of the old model. This phone does audio or video calls, has a colour touch screen, PoE, HD audio and video (720p), dual Gigabit ethernet ports, Bluetooth, and WiFi. Because it runs on Android you get full access to the Google Play Store for apps like Skype or YouTube. Includes power adapter. All this for a run-out RRP of just $217 plus GST.
