ALGIM 2017 – End to End IT Management using ServiceDesk Plus

ManageEngine has been supporting ALGIM for well over 5 years but fun and games aside, we were there to support the local councils in getting the most value out of our solutions.

Our key messaging “End to end IT Management with ServiceDesk Plus” was to demonstrate the efficiency available to ManageEngine customers that they can drive, desktop management, Active Directory management, password Management and operations management out of their control centre which is Service Management.

You can download the presentation here but in summary ServiceDesk Plus integrates with the following ManageEngine solutions.

Common but very useful scenarios discussed:

1. User Provisioning, restructuring and de-provisioning – where through a simple service request users can be created in AD, Exchange, O365, Skype for Business, Google Apps and desktop and mobile can be provisioned with the required software. The reverse can also be automated/work-flowed

2. Patching compromised machines – technicians can look at incidents to view affected machines, scan and deploy fixes to them in from their helpdesk.

3. Lost Mobile Phone – from a ticket to report a lost mobile, the device can be locked, a remote alarm triggered, geo-location revealed if online and finally a wipe if considered irretrievable.
