|Are you one of many resellers who are surfing the Office 365 migration wave? If you have, or are contemplating it, then have you considered the question of Backup for your customer’s Office 365 environment?
Deleted items in Office 365 may be unrecoverable before anyone realizes the needed files are missing. Expanded Office 365 licenses and features offer unlimited retention, but don’t provide a fast, easy path to recovery. Finding and restoring a lost email via Office 365 can take hours. Furthermore, SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business have no archiving or expanded data protection features to recover lost data.
Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business are the applications your customer’s businesses rely on every day. But without a smart backup plan, finding and restoring lost Office 365 data can take days, or even be impossible. So what can you do?
The Unitrends Connected Continuity Platform offers Unitrends Cloud Backup for Office 365, so you can quickly recover lost emails, folders, contacts, and more. No more panic when a user deletes a file, just quick recovery and back to business.
Unitrends Cloud Backup for Office 365 provides full, automatic protection that is purpose-built for Microsoft SaaS applications, eliminating the potential loss of data and ideas due to system crashes or accidental deletions. The software provides complete protection for SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and OneDrive – covering emails, folders, contacts, and more – with unlimited retention. Unitrends Cloud Backup for Office 365 takes snapshots multiple times daily, and enables fast, self-service restore via an intuitive user interface.
Even with an E3+ license of Office 365 you still need backup for Office 365 for two reasons – time and recoverability. In-Place Archiving and Litigation Hold provide some protection for Exchange On-line, but the time it takes to actually find and restore that lost email can be cost prohibitive. It’s like, for instance, building a complex web site in Notepad – you can do it but, why would you? Unitrends Cloud Backup for Office 365 also protects SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business, which are not protected natively from Microsoft. If you don’t have backup in place for SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business, the only way to restore files is from the Recycle Bin, if the files are still there.
Recovery is easy, immediate, and self-service. Unitrends will provide you with access to an online user interface that lets you easily restore data. You don’t have to contact them unless you need assistance. To recover a lost email, simply browse to the username in the Unitrends web interface and restore the email in just a few clicks. You can also restore folders and entire accounts, something that’s impossible in Office 365. Unitrends Cloud Backup for Office 365 also includes unlimited retention, so your data is safe even after Office 365 purges.
Unitrends Cloud Backup for Office 365 is very secure using per-contact AES-256 encryption, backed by RSA 2048-bit public private key certificates. Additionally, Unitrends only restores data to the original mailbox or site to prevent a non-owner of the mailbox or site from accessing its data. Unitrends Cloud Backup for Office 365 is an automatic backup service that takes snapshots of your data up to six times a day. There is no need to manage your backup schedule. Recovery is easy, immediate, and self-service. Unitrends will provide you with access to an online user interface that lets you easily restore data.
